Bart Vanilla Pod

Rich and intense, vanilla is a must have ingredient for any kitchen. Using a pointed knife, cut down the middle of the pod and then using the flat side of the knife, scrape out the seeds. Add to cream, custard, Victoria sponge cake mix or add to melted butter when frying scallops. Once all the seeds are scraped, keep the split pod and submerge into a container of sugar for use in other baking treats.
