The Co-op ground coffees have been packed immediately after roasting and grinding using the 'freshness' valve on the front to maintain all their aroma, flavour and taste. Strength guide. Each Co-op ground coffee pack has a strength guide to help comparison between the different blends : 1 Mild, 2 Mild/medium, 3 Medium, 4 Medium/strong, 5 Strong, 6 Extra strong. Co-op were the first retailer to convert all of our coffee to Fairtrade in 2003, in a pioneering move to stand with farmers. We are proud to have championed Fairtrade since 1994, supporting farmers and workers through the Fairtrade products we produce and sell. But we know there is more to do, which is why we will continue to promote and sell Fairtrade products conveniently. Fairtrade contributes to sustainable development for certified producers by enabling fairer trading conditions, social change and environmental protection. Coffee is Fairtrade certified, traded, audited and sourced from Fairtrade producers, total 100%.
